DIY delay.

Since I've been slacking on blogs lately I've got to update everyone on ONE of the MANY DIY projects I've completed. This one was really fun! I bought this mirror at the CHKD thrift store several months ago and knew immediately what I wanted to do with it. I bought all of the stuff and then it sat around our apartment for at least three months.

This little baby only cost around 3-4 dollars!

These were my weapons of choice!

First, I cleaned and taped the mirror with Frog tape. Because let's face it, Frog tape is Green and way prettier than blue paint tape! Yeah, I said it! BOO to the YAH.

Then, I started to paint.

And..paint.

And paint some more. The painting became very tedious because there were a lot of nooks and crannies. "But, Megan, why didn't you spray paint?" You ask. Well..that's a long story and maybe I should have, but I just didn't. Plus this was way more fun!

Here, you see Lee "helping" me apply the chalkboard paint. He insisted that he helped on this project.

After chalkboard paint is applied..

And here it is, proudly hanging on the wall in our dining room area..

Ta Da! We didn't really need any of these items, but it seemed fitting. It now says Lee hearts Megan :) And there you have it..this little project cost me less than 20 bucks and I will be sure its hanging in my big gourmet kitchen one day! :) haha

You're invited!

We finally sent out our wedding invitations!! I can't believe the wedding is only a little over a month away! We still have a ton of stuff to do..its ridiculous! We hired a wedding coordinator for the rehearsal dinner and the day of. She's a friend of the family and she's a dear sweet lady. We will need her on that day so that Lee and I won't have to worry about a million little details! Here's a couple pics of the invitation. If you have one of these in your posession, then know that you are LOVED, LOVED, LOVED.

The hardest part about sending out wedding invitations is deciding who to send them to. We had so many people that we wish we could've invited, but with limited space that's really hard. So believe me we struggled with the list and didn't get it completed until the very LAST minute that we possibly could! We were very excited to receive our first RSVP in the mail this week! (we've received several more since then, and are so blessed that so many people are excited to attend our wedding!)Here's the lucky first RSVP!

My Uncle Norman and Aunt Wanda! I can't wait to see them! Lee has not met them yet! :) I love opening the wedding RSVP's! Everyday this week, Lee and I have come home from work and desperately waited for the other one to get home so we could open our RSVP's one at a time and try to guess who it's from. We're always pleasantly suprised! This has been such a fun experience and we can't wait to see everyone on our special day. :)

Home Sweet Hammarback..almost :)

Hello everyone! It's been awhile but I've decided to redo the blog and leave wordpress. It was just too confusing. Blogger is so much easier. As you can see it looks a lot different! We changed the name and the URL and we're still tweaking it a little but this is something that will be a little more permanent :)Enjoy!!

Punta Cana..do ya wanna?

I've been dying to blog about this but I've been waiting till its absolutely official! Lee and I are going to Punta Cana in January for a whole week! We are beyond thrilled and excited! We went on a fabulous trip to Mexico last year with Lee's mom, step-dad, new step-sisters, and brother last year and had the best time! In January we're doing it again. This time in the Dominican Republic..and this time we get our OWN room..without John! :) No offense we love you, John :) Furthermore, when we went to Mexico, it was the beginning of June. I think it will be so great to go somewhere tropical in January..the greyest, coldest, part of the year! We cannot wait!! WOOHOOO!!!!!! Just what the Doctor ordered!
