We are over the moon!!

Well...we officially booked our honeymoon over a year ago thanks to my parents who gave us a week at a condo in Orlando, Florida! Lee and I were more than happy to accept  because we had originally planned a trip to Disneyworld and Florida last year, but couldn't afford it because we had to move. This is the lovely resort we will be staying in. We have two bedrooms, a kitchen, living area, washer and dryer (NOT that I will be doing any laundry) and jacuzzi tub! My parents also suprised us this week and told us they would be getting us plane tickets and a rental car for the week! We were looking forward to our Road trip to Florida but now we basically have a WHOLE extra day to spend because of the flight! Lee is thrilled..he would much rather fly anyway.  How exciting!!

We have also made reservations to spend a day here, at Discovery Cove! We booked a package that was all inclusive that includes breakfast, lunch, snorkeling, swimming with dolphins...and relaxing on the beach (unlimited!)

It reminds me of Mexcio! We've also officially reserved our DisneyWorld tickets! I'm so excited because I've been to Disney 3 times and I've only gone to the Magic Kingdom every time! We will be going to all four parks...phew! Not a lot of relaxing on this trip! haha

We made reservations at a couple of restaurants..disney themed of course.. and have a few other suprises in store too..but you'll have to wait for honeymoon pictures! 99 days and counting and we will be on our honeymoon!! whoooohoooo :)

Dax is ready for his close-up!

Again...I'm playing around with picture and I just love this picture of our favorite little man, Dax :) Dax belongs to my good friends,  Seth and Julie. This picture that was taken of him is sooooooo cute..but I just made a few slight changes to enhance it I would say...

Here's the before..just as cute as ever..

and here's the after..still as cute as ever :)

beautiful little girl..

When Laura, a friend from high school and a FB friend posted this adorable little picture of her daughter, it screamed Photoshop! The picture itself is beautiful and as Laura described it her baby could a model. This is true. I love the way her skirt blows in the wind. I wanted to make the picture even more beautiful. Hope that's ok with you, Laura..not that your baby needs to be made any more beautiful! Here's the before shot that I'm assuming Laura took.....

And...Ta to the Da...with the help of photoshop- the after...

I think it turned out pretty well.... very cute! :) I love to photoshop.......

Save the Date!!

If you're a guest at our wedding..you should receive this little booger in the mail by the end of the week if you haven't already...

Yay! It's a magnet, made especially for your fridge...this way you absolutely cannot say that you forgot! :) It will be in YO FACE reminding you every time you open your fridgidare! Remember, our wedding IS on a SUNDAY...that's a little different than some weddings. FYI. Enjoy......

Double Digits!!

PEOPLE, we are officially under the 100 day mark for our wedding! 99 days and counting and I have SO Much to do! I wont bore you with the details though! I just finished addressing about 100 save the dates and logging them into our computer...I have writer's cramp and my back hurts. THEY WILL be going out this week with the exception of about 6 that I haven't received addresses on yet..ahem! I can't believe it's so close! It's sorta cool that Memorial Day usually marks the beginning of Summer and Labor Day Weekend (our wedding) signals that summer is coming to an end! This summer will be full of exciting things! Hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend!!

McDreamy...yummm

In lieu of the recent season finale of one of the greatest shows of all time, I thought I'd post this picture of my cousin-in-law Ashley, who might be at this moment one of the luckiest gals on the planet. I ask you, Ashley, what did he smell like? Love ya sweetness! :) Krystle...I know you're loving this. AND all you Patrick Dempsey fanatics out there. I feel lucky to have touched someone who has touched...McDreamy.  :) *sigh*

Bonus points to my cousin, Robert for taking this fabulous photo! Love you guys! :)

MAYDay :)

I'm entitling this post MAYDay. I think that the name speaks for itself. Basically, the month of May has been a busy one.  I think summer is officially knocking on our door! I love Summer. The Beach! Yes, Lee and I are not taking for granted the fact that we are blessed to live so close to Virginia Beach. (2.5 miles to be exact! ) I've always considered the beach a place to visit on vacations but I've got to admit that from May to September there are so many incredible things happening here.  We're looking forward to enjoying it more than we did last year. We were still getting used to the flow of things and with the expense of the move and me finding a job we didn't have any extra money to spend at all. Now that we are basically back on our feet and moved into a new apartment, it makes life a little easier. Even if the two of us can't fit in the kitchen at the same time and even though we have to hold down the flusher on the toilet to make sure everything goes down...and even if we hear the sounds of a screaming baby to fall asleep to each and every night. Lee and I are both surely realizing how thankful to God we are for having this place to live and allowing us to save our money to buy a house here in the next year or so.

Speaking of new homes...we were so blessed to spend the last couple of weekends with our friends Seth and Julie. In the last couple of months we have made a wonderful friendship with them and I think we've really needed that. It's been hard to meet people here and Lee and I have been lonely when it comes to missing our friends back home. It's hard making that 5 hour trip home all of the time. I'm glad our friends and family understand that. Last weekend it was an honor and privilege to see Seth graduate from medical school!

We are so happy for Dr. Parsons and his family. With a toddler, and a little newborn...I know how difficult it would be to focusing on med school! It was an extremely happy time! On Friday night before graduation, Seth and Julie and Judy (Seth's mom) were attending a banquet for EVMS and Lee and I offered to baby-sit several weeks before Dax was born. To our suprise, Aunt Debbie joined us and we had a great time! The three of us triple teamed the two little ones and had a great time trying to figure out what we were doing.

It really did take three of us to get through those few hours! I'm glad she was there. We had so much fun! Now, Lee and I are confident we can handle Leira and Dax on our own! The next day we went to the graduation and afterwards, Judy and Debbie prepared a wonderful reception for all the family and friends. I was so happy to see Stephen and his dad there as well! It's been a while since I'd seen Stephen and I missed him! Lee and Seth and Stephen are quite a threesome! I see many fishing trips in their future!

This weekend we helped Seth and Julie move into a new house! They are renting a gorgeous townhouse in Virginia Beach! Which means they are MUCH closer to us! I'm excited because it gives Julie and I  a chance to spend more time together and most importantly Lee and Seth can fish right in the front yard. They live on a cute little lake....exciting! Thursday night, Seth and Judy and I headed over to the new place for the first time.  We had three carloads full of stuff to unload. When we got there, we couldn't get the garage door open. The power wasn't on yet. We had to wait for the previous owner to come with a key to let us in so we went to Jason's Deli for a quick dinner. Can I please just add that the THREE of us sat in the FRONT seat of Judy's car like three's company.  After dinner we headed back to unload. The townhouse is awesome! Three levels..and unloading boxes and carrying up two flights of stairs..with no AC..I know I'm out of shape but my legs were like jello and I was sweating like a pig! The next day we loaded up the cars again, this time with Lee's help.  He was participating in a charity golf tournament the night before and couldn't be there. So Friday night, I kinda took it easy and let the boys unload more of the stuff! Saturday Seth and Julie were blessed to have several of the people from church come help us! Pastor Barney even came and brought his three sons! Breakfast and lunch were provided and it was a good day. With everyone's help, they were all moved in within, a few hours. I had my camera the entire time, and never took a picture but I think Judy may have taken a few. It was a great day...although when we came home our muscles ached and we ended the night with a movie and a drink. Perfect.

This morning, we headed to church. We have begun to attend more regularly. We love the Church. The people. Pastor Barney. We feel so blessed to have such a great place to worship every Sunday. The message today entitled "What every woman should know" was inspiring. Women have such an important role in this world and give a sense of community to everyone around them. Basically, Man would be nothing without them :) What a great way to start the morning!  After Church we were treated to lunch with Seth and Julie and Judy and Larry and Peggy (a couple from the church). Here are a few pictures! Leira looks so big sitting in her booster seat!

Max and Ermas! Shay..you know all about that haha :) We went to the new townhouse to help arrange the living room furniture, hook up the 8000 pound TV. Basically another excuse for me to hold precious Daxton and rock him to sleep! And yay for Julie one room complete! Leira and Dax have a sweet playroom to play in now! I think this whole post is dedicated to the Parsons. We are so happy for you guys and we love you! We look forward to many fun weekends with you all in the future!

I also had  the opportunity to travel home and visit my mom and surprise her for Mother's Day! I was so happy to see her smiling face and give her a big hug. I'm finding it close to impossible these days to travel home, but I think there will be several more trips in the upcoming weeks with the wedding being only about 100 days away! My dad and aunt and uncle all went to have cake and give her gifts. She's doing very well. She's having her surgery on June 16th. Keep her in your prayers! My mom and I have been through a lot over the years. In the last few years, we've gotten much closer. She's my go to person. I call her when I'm happy/sad and she makes me feel better. A lot of times she is the shining light of my day. I love you, Mama :) It was also great to go to my church in Roanoke that Sunday. All of the familiar faces made me so happy! Everyone asked me about my wedding plans and how Mom was doing! It was so good go see everyone! :) In the mean time, I wanted to congratulate Caroline on her summer internship with the Youth and the children's choir there! I think she will bring a lot to the church with her beautiful spirit! Congrats! :)

I have a few more people to congratulate! Hope and Chad Getyina on the arrival of their new baby girl, Gabrielle Paige!

She is healthy and beautiful! Looking forward to seeing you all for the 4th of July!  Sherry and John Petersik and the arrival of their daughter Clara Kenley!

And Katie and Jeremy Bower and the arrival of their little boy, William Jackson!

Ok , that's three babies..two born the same day...and there's about 18000 more on the way! Hope all you mothers and expectant mothers had a wonderful (belated) Mother's day! :) on the wedding front...congrats to MAY and Eric Pritt....the two lovebirds were hitched yesterday!

(photo Courtesy of  Kristen Garten photography) Love you, May B :)

AND last but NOT least...Too my one of my favorite people, best friend, bridesmaid, and sister I never had....Happy Birthday Suzanne Tolley! I love you, Hottness! :)

This picture is of Suzanne and her wonderful boyfriend (and love of her life, Ed!) I'm over the moon for the fact that she has found this happiness! Love you Suz-A-Boo :)

Have a wonderful week, all!

Live, Love, Paper.

I know it's been a long time since I updated my wedding blog. I haven't forgotten about it, but for a while there I wasn't doing anything wedding related. I will start to update that soon, but before I do, I wanted to recognize something wedding related that has made me very happy. Lee and I recently ordered our wedding invitations from a sweet little place in downtown Norfolk called Live, Love, Paper. It's in a fun little area called Ghent and it's right across the street from CHKD, in walking distance! Sharon, the owner was so very sweet.  She showed us several styles of invitations and helped us design ours to exactly the way we wanetd it. Her store is precious. It's very shabby chic and its located on the top floor above Press 626 Wine Bar. I passed by the wine bar everyday and never even knew that she was up there. She houses a great little business that I hope will become more recognized so that she can open her own storefront shop! Believe me, I will be a regular customer. I love paper..I remember once spending over 75 dollars in just paper and stationary and scrapbook paper, just because I loved it so much. Sharon  has done a great job with keeping the store intimate, it's almost like you're meeting her in her little attic apartment. She's put so much of herself into this business and she loves what she does. Any brides out there in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Hampton Roads, anywhere for that matter, Sharon at Live, Love Paper will hook you up with some fabulous invitations! I had to post some pictures of her shop because it blew me away with cuteness, courtesy of Sharon! Good luck with your store! Please keep me updated!

Sharon, Lee and I are so pleased with our invitations! We can't wait to get them! Thank you so much!

Here is a link to the website..it's still a work in progress!   http://www.live-love-paper.com/

well lookie here.. :)

I've been meaning to post this but I forgot. I got an award. Apparently I'm a gorgeous blogger!! It was given to me by my good friend, Shaylynn! This girl and I, we have a lot of history. A LOT of it! Though we've had our ups and downs, I think where we are now is the best place we could be. I'm dedicating my gorgeous blogger award to her..even if she did give it to me! And furthermore....for all you tens of readers out there, you should check out what's new with the Grant family..and that includes baby Grant :) Don't forget to hit up familyofgrants.blogspot.com! This will link you to Shay's other two blogs..the baby blog and her battle with cancer (that she won, mind you) blog! And without further ado....I had to find one.. NO,  several  of my favorite pics of Mrs Grant and myself..just to make this a little more sentimental.... TA DA!

and of course this one..

and next we have..

oooh and of course this one..

this one too... oh and who could forget..?..

and LAST but not least..and I think Shay and I will both agree that this one is our ultimate favorite....drum roll please....

Yeah,  I made it bigger! This will live on in Meg and Shay history................so THANK YOU, Shaylynn..for nominating me for gorgeous blogger! The above picture says it all. I think so anyway :)

Now, I know most of you thought this was over..but on the contrary. Part of the rules of the Gorgeous Blogger award is that I have to go on to list ten things about myself...which may be hard for me because I hate talking about myself! NOT! :) Then, I have to list 5 things that I dislike...so here goes!

1. I can cook REALLY well. And I love it! I wish I had a huge gourmet kitchen, big dining room table and a huge family to cook for! :)

2. Sometimes I feel like going to church on Sunday erases anything bad that's happened during the week. It's so refreshing and it feels like you can start over. I love going to church..even though I don't go often enough.

3. The smell of babies makes my heart melt.

4. I cannot count the number of times I go to Target in a week. I have a problem.

5. I have a system of telling how good certain restaurant food is, just by having the nachos. If the nachos are good..more than likely the rest of the food is too.

6. I have a love/hate relationship with motorcycles, red wine, bread, and Nascar.

7. I cannot sleep in cars, planes, or anything that moves..although I wish I could.

8. I want to live in Charleston, South Carolina in a southern plantation home and deck it out with all modern furniture and decor.

9. I have 5 people that I would love to (HAVE TO) spend the day with..in no particular order: Regis Philbin, Dolly Parton, Tori Spelling, Jessica Simpson, and Paula Deen.

10. I have no greater love than the love I have for God, My fiance, our precious babies (simone and pumba) our family and all our friends :)

Now... for things I detest, despise, loathe, want deported..etc

1. Being wet from the knees down.

2. News stories that bring me to tears

3. The smell of trash when you forgot to take it out

4. migraines

5. Being away from my family

I could go on, but I wont.

Finally........I must give out my goregous blogger award to 10 other bloggers. I can tell you, this wont be possible because I only read a few blogs. If I had time, Id read a thousand blogs. If you're reading this..and you happen to blog,  you're gorgeous! And you get the AWARD! AND you must be female btw :) Congrats to all the winners! haha!
